Nice, France. During the study visit that Management of University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” – UP, professors of the Faculty of Economics- UP, Representatives of Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Kosovo, Kosovar Accreditation Agency and WUS Kosova are conducting at University Nice Sophia Antipolis through Tempus project “Modernizing the 3rd cycle at the University of Prishtina and Developing a PhD Program at the Faculty of Economics” (MODPhD), today was signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen the cooperation among University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” and University Nice Sophia Antipolis.
In the occasion of the signing of MoU, Rector of the UP, Prof. Dr. Marian Dema presented the engagement that the management is having for internationalization of the UP. The University of Nice Sophia Antipolis for the UP`s perspective is seen as a strategic international partner. Additionally, this visit is contributing this cooperation in the future to be strengthened.
On the other hand, President of the University Nice Sophia Antipolis, Prof. Dr. Frederique Vidal, offered full support for the cooperation. The experience of the cooperation in the implementation of the Tempus project MODPhD, should be continued with other new projects and be expanded in other fields as well. Therefore, this MoU should be solid base to apply for other joint projects in the future.
The memorandum of understanding foresees:
Mobility of professors and researchers in different fields, joint participation in conferences, seminars and symposiums;
Mobility of students in different study programs;
Information and documents sharing related to different study programs and research fields that are of interest for both parties;
Cooperation in research activities;
Joint application in different international projects.
Moreover, today have started the implementation of another Erasmus+ project that foresees academic and administrative staff mobility among Faculty of Economics – UP and UNICE. This new project will start implementation from January, 2017. Initially, there are foreseen 10 mutual mobilities for students and administrative staff.
